Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy involves freezing the cancerous tissue using liquid nitrogen.   It is a quick procedure which can usually be performed in the doctor’s consultation room.

It is effective for treating some superficial skin cancers like BCC and SCC, particularly in early stages. 

Cryotherapy may cause discomfort during the procedure and temporary swelling or blistering afterward.  The lesion will eventually scab over and fall off as the area heals.  This is normal
