About Dr Andrew Brunton
Dr Andrew Brunton graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2007. Dr Andrew worked for the next 5 years in the Hunter New England Area Health Service where he gained experience in General and Plastic Surgery, as a Surgical Registrar. He completed his General Practice training in 2014, followed by joining and becoming a Director at Newcastle Skin Check in 2015. Newcastle Skin Check expanded over the next 4 years from a single practice to three skin cancer clinics, as well as a cosmetic clinic.
Dr Andrew completed his Masters of Medicine (Skin Cancer) in 2018 through the University of Queensland. He is a Fellow of the RACGP (Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners) and also a Fellow of the Skin Cancer Institute. In addition he is a member of the SCCA (Skin Cancer College Australasia). Andrew relocated to Brisbane in 2020 with his family.
Dr Andrew is also active in teaching skin cancer medicine and surgery. He has previously taught with GP Synergy (GP Registrars) and the Hunter Postgraduate Medical Institute (local GP’s) and advanced surgical skills nationally with Healthcert (Australian and International GP’s).
When Dr Andrew is not at work he spends his time with his wife, son and daughter and trying to keep fit.
