About Dr Nicholas Bourke
Dr Nicholas Bourke began work at the clinic in January 2011, becoming a practice principal in 2016. Nick enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has particular interest in chronic disease management, palliative care, mental health, paediatrics, skin, men’s health checks and emergency medicine.
After completing Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2000, he went on to study Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, both at the University of Queensland. He completed his internship, and several resident years at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, worked in the Mater Children’s Emergency Department, and for four years in the Queen Elizabeth II Emergency Department
He was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011.
He has an educational role at the clinic in the supervision of medical students, and General Practice training Registrars.
He is the father of 3 young girls and is a local to Kenmore having grown up in the area. He attended Kenmore South State School and St Peters Lutheran College.
When away from Kenmore Clinics he enjoys bird watching, photography, remote travel and camping with his family and the outdoors.
